There is currently no cure for herpes, but Camu powder definitely helps in preventing breakouts.
I was getting genital herpes outbreaks every six weeks and taking 1 teaspoon of Camu powder daily mixed with coconut water did the trick for me.
I also load up on probiotics and live cultures found in Greek yogurt. It’s now about 12 months since I’ve had my last outbreak.
Camu Camu side effects
Camu Camu does not have any known side effects.
Though Camu Camu is generally believed to be safe, studies are lacking, so much about the safety of long-term use is unknown. For this reason, pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid taking it.
Also, extremely large amounts of vitamin C may cause a variety of negative health effects, including kidney problems, which is why you should not exceed the recommended dosing.

Thanks to its extremely high levels of Vitamin C, Camu Camu can also be used in your everyday skincare routine as a moisturizer.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant, which neutralizes free radicals and other nasties that come from daily environmental and sun exposure.
It also lightens the appearance of age spots and accelerates collagen production, which prevents wrinkles from forming.

The Camu berry contains very high amounts of vitamin C, which when taken in large doses can potentially lead to digestive issues like upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting, as well as certain kidney issues.
There is also some concern that Camu can interfere with some chemotherapy medications—you so you should always consult a qualified medical professional before you take it.
